Scientific Research by the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science at Alnoor University Published in Scopus-Indexed Journals

Professor Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Ali, Dean of the College of Law and Political Science at Alnoor University, has achieved a new research accomplishment with the publication of his scientific research entitled:
Artificial Intelligence-Driven Approaches and Their Impact on Criminal Justice: A Soft Computing Perspective
As part of the proceedings of the International Conference on Computing Technologies for Research in Data Analysis (ICCTRDA 2025), the paper was published in the Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems (LNNS) series by the international publishing house Springer, which is indexed in the global Scopus database, in Volume 2011. The research was published online on 2 July 2026.
This achievement comes as part of Alnoor University’s growing scientific presence in international research forums. It reflects the university’s academic staff’s interest in contemporary knowledge, emerging technologies, and their application to advancing various fields of science, particularly the legal and judicial fields.
The research examined the role of artificial intelligence technologies based on Soft Computing methods including machine learning, neural networks, fuzzy logic, and genetic algorithms in advancing the criminal justice system, with a focus on their applications in crime prediction, risk assessment, forensic analysis, and supporting judicial decision-making processes.
The research findings demonstrated promising potential for employing artificial intelligence technologies to enhance the efficiency of criminal justice systems, expedite case processing, and improve the accuracy of prediction and assessment processes. The findings also emphasized the need to address challenges associated with algorithmic bias, enhance transparency, protect human rights, and ensure effective human oversight of the use of these technologies within the justice system.
This scientific publication adds to the academic and research achievements of Alnoor University, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening its presence in global scientific databases and indexing platforms, while supporting researchers and faculty members in publishing their scholarly work in reputable international journals and conferences.
