About the College

The College of Law is a pioneering entity within the university, having begun its operations in 2013. It prepares students in various fields of law over four years of study, after which graduates receive a Bachelor's degree in Law. The college boasts specialized faculty members with extensive experience in teaching and working in various state institutions related to the field of law.

College Goals

The college seeks to prepare graduates who possess solid knowledge of legal and political systems, and who are capable of employing this knowledge in the service of sustainable development, through the development of academic curricula in line with the requirements of the labor market and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also aims at developing students’ analytical thinking skills, scientific research abilities, and competence in drafting legal and political texts, in addition to promoting continuous education and building the academic and professional capacities of students. Furthermore, the college focuses on supporting scientific research in the fields of law, public policy, human rights, and good governance, and contributing to addressing societal problems through legal and political studies and consultations. It also seeks to strengthen partnerships with state institutions and civil society organizations in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development, as well as disseminating a culture of the rule of law, respect for rights and freedoms, and the consolidation of the principles of social justice.

It contributes to supporting sustainable development goals by graduating specialists capable of serving society and its institutions, and by promoting applied scientific research related to development issues, governance, and state-building. It also seeks to consolidate the principles of citizenship, integrity, and social responsibility.

Graduate Description

A graduate of the College of Law and Political Science possesses solid knowledge of public and private law, as well as contemporary political systems, along with an understanding of national legislation and international agreements related to sustainable development, human rights, and good governance. They also have skills in legal and political analysis, scientific research, and opinion writing, and are committed to professional ethics, social responsibility, and the values of justice and equality. These competencies qualify them to work in judicial and legal institutions, state institutions, international organizations, and civil society, as well as in academic research and public policy-making, within the framework of the college’s commitment to serving society and supporting sustainable development.
