The Human Rights Division at the Faculty of Law, Alnoor University, organized an educational seminar on the morning of Saturday, October 25, 2025, focused on raising awareness about the dangers of drugs and their impact on individuals and society. The seminar was supervised by Lecturer Qidar Ahmed Mahmoud, a faculty member at the Faculty of Law, and included the participation of several specialists in the psychological and legal aspects of the drug problem
Dr. Ahmed Saeed Rasheed, Director of the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance, delivered a lecture addressing the psychological effects of drugs on the user, and the behavioral and health disorders they cause, which negatively impact a person's life and future
As presented by Dr. Amer Hadi, a faculty member at the College of Law, in a lecture focusing on international experiences in combating drug trafficking crimes, he reviewed the most prominent legislations and strategies adopted by countries to curb the spread of this scourge. This seminar comes as part of a series of awareness activities aimed at enhancing legal and health culture among students and reducing the spread of dangerous behaviors that threaten the security of society and the safety of its members.
