A scientific seminar titled (Medical Professional Practices in the Balance of Law) at University of Alnoor

In the presence of Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Alhajjar, President of Alnoor University, Alnoor University represented by the College of Law and Political Science in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy held an extensive scientific seminar entitled “Medical Professional Practices in the Balance of Law,” as part of its efforts to strengthen integration between legal and medical aspects. The seminar was moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Rasheed Hussein and witnessed distinguished academic and professional attendance. It included three specialized axes that addressed the topic from multiple perspectives. In the first axis, Judge Yasser Mohammed Saeed Kadu of the Nineveh Investigation Court reviewed the legal framework governing medical practice, highlighting the legal responsibilities borne by healthcare workers. The second axis addressed regulatory aspects, where Dr. Maajid Shingali, former head of the Parliamentary Health Committee, together with a representative of the National Security Service Directorate, presented a perspective on oversight mechanisms and their role in regulating medical work and ensuring compliance with approved standards. In the third axis, Dr. Mohammed Alhouri, President of the Iraqi Medical Association Nineveh Branch, and Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Qutaiba Allayla, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, presented an academic and medical perspective on the reality of medical professions and ways to develop them in line with professional and legal standards. The seminar comes within Alnoor University’s orientation toward enhancing legal and medical awareness and opening horizons for joint scientific dialogue, contributing to the development of professional performance and the consolidation of sound practices across various health sectors.
