The Human Rights Division at the Presidency of Alnoor University organizes a scientific workshop on workers’ rights in national and international legislation

The Human Rights Division at the Presidency of Alnoor University organized a scientific workshop titled “Workers’ Rights in National and International Legislation.” The workshop was supervised by the lecturer Qidar Ahmed Mahmood and featured lectures delivered by Dr. Hani Younis Ahmed, Dr. Luay Hikmat, and Mr. Raad Ismail Hassan Al-Badrani, Director of the Pension and Social Security Department for Workers in Nineveh, in addition to a number of specialists and those interested in legal and human rights affairs. The workshop addressed the most prominent rights guaranteed to workers under national and international legislation, with a focus on legal protection mechanisms and the importance of enhancing awareness of workers’ rights, as well as the role of official institutions in ensuring their fair and effective implementation. The workshop concluded with discussions and interventions emphasizing the importance of continuing to hold such events to strengthen legal culture and human rights awareness within both the academic and wider community. Coinciding with International Workers’ Day, the event also included the honoring of a group of Alnoor University staff members in recognition of their dedication and ongoing efforts in serving the educational institution.
