The Human Rights Division at Alnoor University Organizes a Seminar on Unemployment and Its Impact on the Human Right to Mental Health
Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Ali, Dean of the College of Law and Political Science at Alnoor University, the Human Rights Division in the college, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a scientific seminar on the morning of Wednesday, 18/2/2026, entitled (Unemployment and Its Impact on the Individual’s Right to Mental Health) The seminar was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Qaidar Ahmed Mahmoud. The seminar addressed several themes related to the psychological and social effects of unemployment and their impact on the psychological stability of both the individual and society. The lectures were delivered by Dr. Amer Hadi and Assistant Lecturer Ghufran Hassan, who emphasized the importance of finding practical solutions that contribute to supporting mental health and enhancing employment opportunities in a manner consistent with the principles of human rights. The seminar was attended by a number of students and faculty members, and concluded with an open discussion session and exchange of views on ways to reduce the psychological and social repercussions of unemployment.
