Professor Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Ali, Dean of the College of Law and Political Science at Alnoor University, has achieved a new research accomplishment through the publication of his scientific research paper entitled:
Artificial Intelligence-Driven Approaches and Their Impact on Criminal Justice: A Soft Computing Perspective
As part of the proceedings of the International Conference on Computing Technologies for Research in Data Analysis (ICCTRDA 2025), published in the Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems (LNNS) series by the global publishing house Springer and indexed in the global Scopus database, in Volume 2011, where the research was published online on July 2, 2026.
This achievement comes as part of Alnoor University’s growing academic presence in international research forums and reflects the interest of its academic staff in contemporary knowledge, emerging technologies, and their application to the advancement of various fields of science, particularly the legal and judicial fields.
The research examined the role of artificial intelligence technologies based on Soft Computing techniques, including machine learning, neural networks, fuzzy logic, and genetic algorithms, in developing the criminal justice system, with a focus on their applications in crime prediction, risk assessment, forensic analysis, and supporting judicial decision-making processes.
The research findings demonstrated promising potential for employing artificial intelligence technologies to enhance the efficiency of criminal justice systems, expedite case processing, and improve the accuracy of prediction and assessment processes, while emphasizing the need to address challenges related to algorithmic bias, enhance transparency, protect human rights, and ensure effective human oversight of the use of these technologies in the justice sector.
