Student disciplinary instructions at a seminar of the College of Law and Political Science at Alnoor University
On the morning of Sunday, 1 March 2026, the Department of Law at the College of Law and Political Science, University of Alnoor, organized a scientific seminar entitled (Student Disciplinary Instructions) with the attendance of a number of the college’s academic staff and students.
The seminar was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Ali, Dean of the College.
In his lecture, Dr. Bashar Rasheed addressed the axis of disciplinary penalties, explaining their types and the mechanisms for their application in accordance with the approved legal regulations, while highlighting the philosophy of punishment based on correction and reform prior to deterrence.
Dr. Rana Saad Shakir highlighted disciplinary violations, outlining the most prominent infractions that may occur within or outside the university campus, and their impact on the student’s academic progress. She emphasized the importance of awareness of rights and responsibilities in a manner consistent with university values.
The seminar witnessed active engagement from the attendees through questions and interventions that enriched the discussion, as part of the college’s efforts to promote academic discipline and to establish a university environment based on respect and responsibility.
The workshop was also attended by Professor Dr. Nizar Abdul Latif, Dean of the College of Applied Arts.
